Closing out this year
(like I intend to do every year) with a bang: a black-and-gold sequined, borderline two-inch heeled bang. As if anyone over six feet tall needs another couple of inches, closing out the year on a high note (pun 100% intended) should — yes — feel good, but also look good on you, too, especially being in the thick of holiday parties as we are in now. This isn’t to say that you need a kira kira worthy boot to make you feel like a 10 (plus a few inches… hehe — maybe I’ll stop now), but these holiday times are critical for not only being grateful and joyous for the year that has now come to past by thanking clients and the ones who helped make it possible for you thus far; but also feeling confident and ready to take on the new year with an aim to make it even better than the last. In a world where impressions (primarily first ones) can make or break your relationship with virtually anyone — and, in this case, new business — we need to look and feel our absolute unique best to connect with those who can help turn our desires and dreams into a reality (vice versa for karma points). While I may be speaking from a freelancer’s perspective, I haven’t met one person who holds a single job; passion projects and the ability to achieve them are on the rise. So I’m going to start at my sole… with these Christian Louboutin boots and let it shine this holiday season. Stages are rarely given to those who follow codes but make new ones.
