When you know

you’re wearing a coat (and not just any coat, but a… coat) complete with the statement lapel, the right color, exceptional detailing, and pristine fit, attitude strikes. You know you look good (don’t deny it). Case in point with this Belstaff number I wore to a few fashion shows several weeks ago. I layered it with a casual double-breasted pinstripe blazer atop a thin, black turtleneck and threw on a small medallion necklace over the sweater. Considering the warm weather, the coat can still carry through early spring — it’ll look gorgeous just over a t-shirt and jeans (add a skateboard — if I could actually skateboard, but you might — and you’d be set). Again, it’s the simple fact that an exceptional coat rules the outfit. The key is not to accentuate a statement piece that alone is enough to make a statement.
