That’s right. I’m about
two weeks into Downtown Brooklyn living and I am in love. What my former self living in Manhattan for 7 years was thinking when Brooklyn seemed like the complete other side of the world? I have no idea. I actually feel way more connected to the city than before. When it now only takes me 9 minutes to get to the Lower East Side when before it’d take me upwards of 45 minutes (with ample complaints), I feel more of a well-rounded New Yorker that in prior years with minimal — if any — snobs at finding a way to get there… anywhere. I suppose it’s true when they say you have to get out of something in order to truly appreciate, well, something. Anyway, I invited a few of my “bloggah” friends into Brooklyn to explore and shoot a bit. It’s finally fall, which means leather weather when it comes to September and October outfits, so this look has been a regular as of late featuring one of my favorite new(-ish) designers, John Elliott. I’m all about a slouchy, long-tee (no surprises here); skinny black jeans; and kept sandals in this look (it’s not that cold yet) to slowly relinquish summer. Too soon and otherwise whiplash, mild sweating, and potential heat withdrawals come December. None of those, please.
