… it isn’t coming off.
It’s on all season long and it’s attached to a bear trap at night. Kidding (of course…?). When COACH introduced a completely new menswear collection for Fall of last year designed by a talented Englishman by the name of Stuart Vevers, I couldn’t help but reiterate to myself, is that COACH? Let alone, for men? 😍 Here’s why I’m swooning, gawking, and downright salivating. Granted I only have three seasons to base this opinion on — each of which has been consistently strong, so it’s enough to make such opinions I stand behind — the COACH 1941 collection is daring without being unwearable; bold without being terribly loud; and it does so while still retaining its craftsmanship that we all know the brand masters. And as much as I give standing ovations to some of my favorite designer for casting looks down the runway that may be ahead of their time, I admire the COACH collections as of late for their ability to capture the upward trend in menswear at the right moment and firmly grasp on — if not being at the forefront. So when you take this jacket (rightfully dubbed the Barracuda Mashup Jacket), a clever fusion of a leather motorcycle style and a quality nylon bomber comprised of bold hardware and a stately fit, in my book it speaks to now; and perhaps now in menswear will forever be the brand’s direction. Sold.

P.S. If you guys want to get endless eyewear each month for a low fee, head over to DITTO. Super cool site (and I’m picky about sites). You can even use the promo code TALUN to get your first month free. The selection of styles from awesome designers (old and new) are all there. It’s where I got these SUPER by Retro Super Future sunnies that I’m starting to question how I’m going to live without.
