It’s a common no-no
to wear horizontal stripes on a shirt. The reason being that, regardless of your shape, the horizontals equate to rings (i.e. stripes) around a planet (i.e. you); and the last thing you want to compare your body shape to is anything spherical. Am I right? However, I was drawn to this Tomorrowland cotton striped tee that’s cinched at the arms and the waist to add definition and structure to the outfit as a whole. That, and the stripe pattern, is simply dope: love the off-centered split between the wider gapped stripes and the even ones on the (my-) left. My normal thought process with a baggier tee would be to offset it with a skinnier pair of trousers. But, nah. TY-LR (remember this Australian brand?) just introduced menswear for the spring season and they had me immediately at these baggy pleated, pinstripe pants. I’ll be easily wearing these all season, summer, fall, and winter (they roll up beautifully and the fabric’s a light wool, so they’re Evergreen’s best friend). The look’s effortless, slightly rebellious… and hella comfortable. My kinda fash-fun.
