Shearling bomber jacket, thin turtleneck and vintage denim jeans

I don’t know about you,

but I’m asking myself: is it… is it spring? Jonas may have been winter’s almighty this season and to celebrate, my ankles are OUT. Hello: forty-nine degrees on Monday. Not fooling anyone here with these pictures; these were clearly taken before that snow globe of a situation had its heyday almost a week ago, but I’ll still raise the relevancy card. This shearling bomber jacket (on sale, by the way) is a hybrid ticket to go athleisure or luxleisure, if either are truly such a thing. It’s a zip hoodie (dress down), it’s shearling (ehh, neutral), and it has a subtle, shiny leather exterior (dress up). So, versatility points for the win. The goal of this outfit was to be warm enough and comfortable without the excessive layering we all tend to fancy and get creative with come the season. I took it as a challenge and, well, I’m happy to say that it worked. I coupled the coat with a thin wool turtleneck (similar) — ideal since the fitted wool insulates heat, but airy enough to cool down indoors — some vintage Levi’s, shiny shoes to elevate the look a bit, and called it a day.
