A usual go-to shade for fall lies within the brown hues, whether it’s all the way down to a light camel or up to a dark chocolate. I spotted these H&M jeans along that spectrum one day in this rusty orange color that I just had to have (great fit and lightweight). It’s still a bit warm in the city, so I paired this outfit with a railroad stripe denim shirt and threw on a pair of Y-3 kicks from last summer (still obsessed with them). The outfit could have easily been done up with a great pair of oxfords, but I like to add a modern sporty feel every so often, especially in between the warmer seasons. Accessorize and you’re good to go. My friend Justin introduced me to these Chan Luu wrap bracelets a while back and they’ve practically been a big part of my #armswag (does that go for guys?) every since.
Note: I’m also now accustomed to putting the watch pocket (ticket pocket, condom pocket, whatever) on most of my jeans to good use with a great key chain — yes, keys intact — for it to act as a kind of “charm”. Granted it’s not the safest thing in the world, especially walking the streets of NYC, but after a few years of doing this, I have yet to experience any devious hands going in for the snatch. With the keys being securely lodged, even I have a little difficulty taking them out when I need them and I suppose that if someone were to really try and have the courage to rip them out from a pocket that’s virtually in front of you, he or she probably needs it more than you do. Still, anything goes and this note serves as a precautionary measure to style at your own will.
